Lund Cadillac - GMAC Financing, No Posting of MSRP on New Vehicle on Lot Phoenix Arizona
February 2007 my wife, Evelyn **** entered into a 3 year Prepaid Lease in order to rid hersef of a "lemon" of a trade October 23, 2006 of a 2004 SLS Cadillac for which there was a two page repair history (much of which was repeat warranty work) and a additional cash payment for a total investment of $28,000. My wife entered into the lease without viewing a MSRP with Lund Cadillad ad-ons, and so the "residual" lease was somewhat vague to her, but she trusted the salesman, Norman Freeman, and his sales manager, Bob Monahan.
The issue of the missing MSRP sticker was mentioned at the time of the lease signing and she was promised that Lund would obtain a duplicate for her to view. She was not told that she was purchasing an "entry level" Cadillic DTS that is normally sold to leasing companies. She had no knowledge at the time of purchase that the car had no automatic garage door opener plus some of the other extras like memory seats.
After repeated attempts to obtain a MSRP from Lund, she went to their competitor, Colter Cadillac in downtown Phoenix, and within minutes, their sales manager had pulled up on the computer the base dealer price and MSRP prise. To date, we have never received a copy of the original Cadillac MSRP window sticker. My wife's complaint is that she had no way to verify the agreed upon value of the vehicle which is shown under item 7a. ("Gross Capitalized Cost") listed in the 3 year single payment GMAC "Smart Lease".
