Standard = the breed clubs perfect image of the dog. That's why there is considered to be a difference between SHOW quality and PET quality. I hate to break it to you, but your average chihuahua IS over 6 pounds. ESPECIALLY since they tend to be spoiled and overweight. Whether or not a dog can win best of show every time is not a qualification for it's AKC registration. You also never mentioned the size of any males.............. If I was breeding a tiny breed I'd use a bigger female and a very small male in the interest of the female and the puppies. Also, did I mention that the standard, faults, and disqualifications tend to be different from registry to registry and country to country? Just because a dog doesn't meet every little nuance of the standard doesn't mean it's not purebred. That's why they deduct points. Other countries with older registries allow colors and sizes that AKC doesn't. I just can't stand to see someone attacked for something sooooooo silly. Definantly juvinile

I have purchased a puppy from this breeder. She did supply her address and phone# to me. I plan on purchasing another dog from her. My dog I bought from her was AKC reg and is the most beautiful boy ever. Healthy as can be. Great quality.Just because one person does not approve of someone's attitude should not reflect the puppies themselves. If anyone would like to email me on this matter and view pictures of my dog please do so. She did not advertise him wrong in any way when she sold him to me, And he is better looking than thousands of puppies I searched for. My husband is a k -9 Police officer and knows good quality dogs of course. This breeder is someone you would want to buy a puppy from, Without a doubt.I highly disapprove of people going to the extent of this woman in Tenn lying about not being able to talk to the breeder.I have her number and her address and spoke with her many times about my puppy before buying him. She even sent me a video of him!!!! You can contact her that statement is untrue!!If anyone would like to email me about this breeder please do so.She is a very nice lady who met me 2 hrs from her own house to bring me the puppy. And her dogs a WONDERFUL even if the female is 6 1/2 pounds. Some dogs gain weight some are small and sick " like teacups" thank you... Andrea Tetrault Palm Beach, Fl [email protected]

Why would you be looking on the Internet for breeder dogs, anyway? There are plenty of dogs in shelters (yes, even Chihuahuas) that make wonderful companions. If you're willing to pay thousands of extra dollars for some dumb paper, and you should already expect to be ripped off. In fact, if you're paying that much for a dog, no matter what, you ARE being ripped off.

First of all, this person is probably a minor, judging by their poor grammar and spelling. Second of all, how can they claim "One cannot even TALK TO THESE POEPLE or EMAIL THEM?" when they have been emailing me repeatedly? How would I have been able to respond to their harassing emails if they hadn't emailed me in the first place? This person has no legitimate issues with my company other than they dislike the fact that I am breeding animals. They never contacted me other than to send harassing emails and spam my website contact system, which I have forwarded to America Online. This is not a legitimate business complaint because the person has never attempted or intended to do business with me, but rather is attempting to slander my company for no apparent reason, made apparent by quite a few harassing emails send to my email address. I would respond to more of their concerns but quite frankly am unable to respond to their unreadable attempts at the English language.
