Complaint Review: Luxury watches R us - Miami Florida

A waste of time indeed.  In conclusion, my experience with these people has been exactly as outlined previously.  Don't let their ranting about a fictional insurance claim that is pure conjecture on their part distract you from taking necessary precautions when dealing with them, should you decide to do so at your own peril.  And maybe through the years they've been in business, they did have satisfied customers.  Surely, they will not be sharing with you their unsatisfied customers, like myself.  I was compelled to share my experience with them involving an expensive Swiss watch.

CAVEAT EMPTOR.......

You keep adding and changing your version based on your own convenience.
We also have copy of all email and your fraudulent attempt against us and against insurance company. We have copy of everything in case you submit any "claim" to an insurance company and they contact us.

This is an invite to ALL potential customers like you: dishonest, scammers, cheaters, etc to STAY away from our company. We do not need deal with people like you. I have a long list of very happy and satisfied customers that support our business and would return to buy from us any time:

This is our last answer to this waste of time discussion, we have a long list of customer to take care of.

I am not even going to respond to the nonsense they are putting out.  They are Floridian scammers who pray on the people who don't know any better and end up keeping the damaged merchandise and repair on their own rather than deal with these scumbags.  This is what I actually considered doing, but asked for a partial refund to replace the bezel.  They offered to send me an "aftermarket" replacement bezel, an obvious admission that they knew the watch had a damaged bezel.  In addition to the damaged bezel, the watch wouldn't wind manually, only through the motion movements of your wrist.  Upon discovering this, I told them I will be returning the watch back to them for a full refund, and of course, was told they would charge me a "modest" 15% restocking fee (which in this case would be $2,000).  At that point, I threatened to block the payment and tie up their money until this dispute would be resolved.  At that point, they immediately changed their tone and offered to give me a full refund if I sent the watch back to them, and even offered to pay for the shipping!  Once they got the watch back, they changed their tune again, telling me they will get back to me to tell me how much they will deduct for the damaged bezel.  At that point, I had a string of emails from them memorializing everything that had transpired and, not being complete retards, they realized this and decided to issue the refund instead of dealing with the dispute process and possible lawsuit.  As stated earlier, it took about 4 weeks for me to get my refund.  I have all the emails from them saved in case anyone has a problem with them in the future.  I would be delighted to share them with anyone who is interested.

Again, if you are a risk taker and decide to deal with these people, do yourself a favor and pay by credit card so that you have the means to fight them if you get a lemon.  And keep all the emails and documents because, chances are, you will need them to assist you in a credit card dispute with these scammers.

The names of the people I dealt with are Carlos Franco and Robert Ramos.  I primarily dealt with Carlos.

Yes the customer opened claim at Paypal and we as seller had the chance to refuse. But instead we accept return the money and END relation with this fraudulent "customer". If customer had to wait 4 weeks to receive the money, should probably also file a report about Paypal. Because we accepted the refund and the time it takes for the money to be refunded is OUT OF OUR CONTROL.

If this person common sense allow him to use or not our invoice to do fraudulent stuff with his insurance company... We don't know. The fact is that he returned the watch with a REPLACED Bezel (see difference between HIS and OUR picture) but he "forgot" to return the invoice. That we assume was use to cheat at the insurance company.

We are not going to argue about BBB or Ripoff Report credibility. Our customers [wholesale & retail] are our best reference.

BE AWARE OF SELLING TO THIS PERSON, HE IS DANGEROUS FOR YOUR BUSINESS. Will DAMAGE your merchandise and ASK FOR DISCOUNT. (see the Pictures)

Yes, the refund was processed after chargebacks were initiated with both PayPal and credit card issuer.  But not without their pathetic swindling moves again.  Upon authorizing the return for full refund, these people attempted to play games again, telling me that they need further time to evaluate the PREEXISTING damage to the bezel.  I finally got my refund from PayPal as a result of a PayPal dispute after 4 weeks of waiting.

Not even worth mentioning, but don't pay attention to their ranting about insurance fraud.  I guess each judges the other by the way they do business, so naturally they are alleging fraud on my part.  Obviously, even if one was to do any kind of bogus claim with the insurance company, he would have to be absolutely crazy using these fraudsters' invoice, after everything we went through.  Just to be clear, I asked for a full price invoice in order to insure the watch for full value, a practice that's commonly done.  Most insurance carriers take dealers "appraisals" with a grain of salt, so the purchase invoice goes a long way in the event of a loss.

P.S., BBB is a rubber stamp approval agency for the swindlers like these people.  As long as you pay their fees, you'll get a high rating.  That's why there are websites such as this one to get an honest opinion from consumers.

Final word, DEAL AT YOUR OWN RISK WITH THESE FOLKS.

The watch was listed in our website (http://luxurywatchesrus.com/watch.php?id=90372) as Pre-owned.

The Bezel was in MINT condition as you can see on the picture on our website.

He conditioned the transaction asking us to put on the invoice the TOTAL RETAIL value of the watch and also that it was NEW. To be reported to the insurance company.

The first contact from the customer after receiving the watch was 6 hours later after delivere, time enough for anyone to change the bezel to a damaged (we have emails and proof).

The customer asked for an extra discount of $ 800.00 or full refund.

We processed the FULL REFUND right away, there was some delays at Paypal ends out of our control.

We lose a 2,000.00 bezel cost on this transaction, and of course the customer never returned the invoice of the watch, which we assume was used to report a claim to a insurance company [cheating].
