01-30-12 1400: Tried to buy magic mesh online today at buymagicmesh.com. Had a simialr experience of another complainant. The 2-for-1 is not true. They lead you from page to page clicking away, all the while advertising that your second set of mesh screens are free (you only pay the $7.95 s & h). Last page that "confirms" your purchase shows you actually bought two (yes 2!) sets of doors and you are charged for them. There's no way to back page adn no way to get out of the confimration page.

I too, tried the online customer status but they say it takes 24-28 hrs. for my order to show up in their system. I then called Magic Mesh's customer service number, 1-866-649-0146, but they tell me they're only the compnay that ships the items (huh?). They said I have to "catch" the order before it ships. Now I am repsonsible to call them back to catch their mistake? Not good. Not fair. Deceptive.

I mentioned to the nice lady that I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened too. I told her I'd done print screens of all the pages and front page of their website and I would send it all to the Connecticut Attorney General's Office. If it happened to me it's surely happened to others. (And indeed it has.) I filed a complaint with Connecticut Attorney General today. Have to mail it so might be awhile before I get an answer. p.s. - While it might be a good product they need to adhere to the truth in advertising law.

My issue with Magic Mesh was resolved the next day but I had to make a couple phone calls. The company stated that the buy-1-get-1-free is frequently goofed up (my words not theirs). Many people order 2 screens- when we really want one. We simply need to order 1 screen and the company includes/sends the free screen.
My order came promptly and was intact w/no damage. My credit card was charged the proper amount. I still suggested Magic Mesh make changes to their website so ordering would not be such a fiasco. All they need do is add a line telling us to put a "1" in the order box (and we will automatically get the free set). They could also build a confirmation page that allows you to change/confirm your order.

I'm now a satisfied customer- but it took a couple phone calls on my part. * If you did what I did and put a "2" in the order spot, please be persistant in contacting the company. Call them directly and follow-up with them. Also check to ensure they corrected any charges on your cc bill. They were very accomodating. But goodness this was a frustrating experience!
