Marketing FX - The Marketing Firm lying and being vague to dupe cheap labor for AT&T Chicago Illinois
I was duped into working for this company after being promised salary. After quitting a good job I started working for them and was then told after a few days that it was commission only.
They were friendly enough to make you feel like maybe you can achieve the management position that they promised, but after a few days you realize that it's mostly a crock. They promised to help me make money by sending me to neighborhoods that had earning potential. After being sent to neighborhoods that were already hit and coming up empty, I went broke and had to quit.
The place was feeling strangely like a cult for they never wanted to see anything resembling negativity (you had to be perky all the time), basically they were discouraging you to come forward with your concerns for your financial well-being.
After getting to know some of my co-workers, I realized none of them made enough to be self-sufficient. Either they lived with their parents still, or had a significant other footing all the bills, or a few roommates.
They were very unprofessional when it came to my quitting. I left a message in regard to my inability to afford the commute and instead of checking their messages they call me and berate me like some little kid. Then after explaining myself, my "boss" alluded that I should borrow money to keep myself solvent.
This company preys on recent college grads and I'm ashamed to say that I was duped. I left a steady job to join this company that just told me lies to recruit me. Because of this companies misrepresentation and deceit, my career path has been destroyed in a time when jobs are scarce in my field.
