Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband and I went through this McDonald's drive through on 4/13, ordered 2 Fish sandwiches, fries and chicken McNuggets WITH BBQ SAUCE. This came to $16.72 altogether-- not exactly inexpensive for 'fast food'. Got home (less than two miles from this store) and realized there's no BBQ sauce in my bag, and the food looked as if it had been sitting ALL DAY. I tried a bite of the sandwich-- tasted like cardboard. The fries and the nuggets were just as bad-- completely inedible to the point that the food was immediately thrown away. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager, expecting that I would either be offered a refund or new food. The woman who answered told me SHE was the manager, but then she proceeded to cut me off to talk in SPANISH to someone else in the room. Talk about RUDE!

At one point I tried explaining how I'd ordered BBQ sauce but didn't get it, and she actually told me, NO-- I did NOT order BBQ sauce-- and that if I'd wanted the BBQ sauce, I should have told them. Evidently I DID, as the 'BBQ sauce' is listed right on my receipt, and I don't appreciate being treated like I'm an idiot. So I tried to tell her about the rest of the food (again), and in the middle of talking, she cut me off AGAIN to talk to this other person. Then she hung up. Just 'click'-- hung up. By this point I was FURIOUS. I called back and asked, 'DID YOU JUST HANG UP ON ME??'.. No apologies, nothing. She just told me it must be 'phone trouble'. Right. I tried explaining AGAIN how awful the food was, and she cuts me off AGAIN to say something to the effect of , There's nothing I can do about it, call our 800 number. Again, no 'I apologize, we do appreciate your business, we can either give you your money back or remake your food, blah blah blah'. None of that. Instead I get hung up on the first time I called, and then told to call someone else since it's basically not her problem. Very nice.

Indeed I did call the 800 number, and I got a call back from someone the next day pretty much saying I didn't give enough info about the food (umm, it was AWFUL and INEDIBLE-- what else do you want me to say?!) and that McDonald's is sorry, this person was going to speak with the owner of this particular store and they value their customers. Right. STILL no offer for my money back or to make the situation right. And no call from the owner of the store, either. I DO NOT believe that customers should ever be treated so badly. Ever. And this was, without a doubt, THE WORST treatment I've ever gotten anywhere, followed up by less-than-mediocre treatment from McDonald's Corporate (or whoever they are) Customer Service. I will never eat at this restaurant again, and I will absolutely be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience here.

Jennifer, as a crew member at McDonald's I am very sorry about your experience. Normally, we can't replace food or give a refund because of how the food tastes. However, if you were charged for BBQ sauce and didn't get any you were certainly entitled to something. This manager's apparent attitude is a disgrace. Call the 1-800 number again or visit the McDonald's website and e-mail a complaint. You should receive a coupon for a free value meal in the mail at the least. Be sure to mention this manager specifically. She doesn't sound like much of a manager and probably should be dismissed.
