MDG Consumer Financing Misinformation about payments and interest on furniture Oakville Ontario
I called MDG today to find out how many payments I had left on a mattress set I bought last year at this time. The total was $1,169.00. After a year of payments I was informed I still owe them $795.28 and was told that every time I make a payment, which is $32.81 every two weeks that the interest was basically as much as my payment and interest was accrued every two weeks which makes my payment null and void. I am furious with this company who did not tell me this when I purchased the mattress to help build my credit.
I also purchased a love seat and kitchen table and chairs through MDG. My total payments every two weeks is $93.85 for all three purchases. I told him on the phone that I wanted them to come and pick up my love seat and kitchen table and chairs and he said they do not take returns after 20 days but I was never told this either. I would very much like to sue this company. No where does it state the terms of interest and as the consumer, I will be paying them for years to come.
