Metro promised to pay half my appraisial fee... never did.. rolled the full appraisial fee into my mortgage..which i didnt want.. I wanted to pay it out of pocket.

I DID NOT want my Flood Ins included in my Mortgage..Now I have to pay Interest on it for the next 30 yrs.

They forced placed Flood Ins ..after I had provided them with proof that I already had it.

Now 7 months later..I found out from the Insurance Co.. they had sent a refund check to Metro. and I have never recieved it.

This seems to typical of many Mortgage Companies anymore..

This loan was not sold for 2 months so how could the "new Lender" require ins .. when i already had it... and now your calling me and the insurance company Liars..(the Ins. Company told me the check had been cashed) SO much for simple... The half of the appraisal fee was never given to me.. and Since this loan closed.. not one phone call as been returned.. the last call was on the 26th of April, 2007...

Metropolitan Home Loans did not force flood insurance. The loan was sold and the new lender required the insurance. Not Metropolitan. If a refund check was sent, Metropolitan never received it and would never keep it. Metropolitan Home Loans has a long standing reputation of honesty and fairness. This is a simple misunderstanding.
