My husband also worked at Midway. He too never saw money that was coming. It was interesting to see the $30,000 difference between gross and bring home pay. Payroll is a law unto themselves. They are the queens of treating the employees like garbage. They talk to you like you are worse than a bug under their shoe. Are you familiar with going to the desk manager for your check and being told payroll still has it. Then later finding out the desk manager had it the whole time? And how about going for your final check and seeing unknown deductions on it that bring it to zero? And yes, they tell you to give it six months. I think it's the only way they have to keep anyone for any length of time. Another ex employee bought their car from Midway Auto. With his low paychecks they had to put him in another car to lower his payment. After a few months his car was repo'ed and he almost lost his home. He too moved on to another job. Did you see over 50% of your car sales fall through and later go to that one certain other salesman? Did you have people with excellent credit being told they didn't qualify for a car? Those experiences happened to my husband more times than we care to count. He would be instructed to call a customer back a day or two later and always heard the same story, "We bought down the street." When I called to start a discrimination suit we couldn't because my husband wasn't over 40 years old. That place needs hidden cameras with the government watching. If you plan on looking for a job, please consider looking elsewhere, before you lose your home. And if you are looking to buy a truck or car, shop elsewhere!!!!!
