The most startling thing about these guys is that they are not in jail. They play the corporate shell game and have hundreds of thousands of dollars in judgment against them. They were in Orlando and are now in Hollywood. The owners are Tal Lavie and Haim Shalem. They do not pick up on time and do not deliver on time. Lavie is rude, crude and ignorant. I'm hoping Chase will reverse the credit card charge I was extorted into paying.

Now they want to lie

When I first negogiated with this company, I was told we would have discussions to refine the inventory list prior to pick up. This never happened. They calculated 583 cubic feet. The actual amount was 763 cubic feet. The price is determined by cubic feet, not by the number of items. In any event, I certainly did not have 8 times the original cubic feet. I was willing to pay an additional $500+ to bring the total job cost to $2000.

My wife, who had to take off work without pay because they arrived 3 days late, did most of the additional packing. They packed 3 boxes. One supplied by them, 2 supplied by us. At no time did they ever provide any direction in packing other than to say they would take apart any furniture that could be disassembled and wrap all furniture. They refused to load a 2 drawer filing cabinet until my wife emptied it and boxed the contents. Of course, this added to the cubic footage.

The "representative" they referred to was my 18 year old son. Someone absolutley lacking the knowledge to understand contractual matters. He was told that what he was signing was acknowledgment of the items the crew loaded.

The crew had already loaded some items on to the truck when they decided to call me with the revised cost. When I told them to take the items off the truck and leave, Mr. Lavie demanded I pay $600 for that or I had to agree to the new, higher revised cost. I would call this EXTORTION. Why didn't they call before starting the loading process? I'll also mention that Lavie was rude, loud and threatening during my conversations with him.

After deciding to pay the new amount, Lavie specifically said delivery would be in 4 to 6 days. By denying this now is an absolute lie. On day 6, when I called about the lack of delivery, Courtney Ritchie said they never gaurentee a delivery date and that delivery can take 2 to 3 weeks from pick up. This is more proof as to the unbusinesslike and unprofessional character of this operation.

Based on 763 cubic feet, this job should have cost $1920.00. I paid a total of $3753.00. I'm willing to forego another $333 for the limited extra packing they did; that's $111 per box, if they'll return $1500 to me.

Finally, for those reading this, you decide who has more credibility: a retired judge with an outstanding reputation for fairness and honesty in his community or a company that has a plethora of negative reviews and 22 complaints with the Better Business Bureau of Central Florida. Not to mention a list of judgments according to the Florida corporation website from corporations that are now dissolved. Did they ever pay the $140,000+ they owe Navistar Financial or the tens of thousands they owe Yellow Book?

Company Response

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, July 08, 2016

We would like to apologize to Mr. Solomon if he felt inconvenienced in any way. We are not extortionist or thieves. Mr. Solomon received a fair estimate for the items that he transported with our company. Just so there's a clear understanding on Mr. Solomon's original estimate that he gave to our sales representative his inventory listed only 12 items. However, on the day of the move our foreman picked up over 100 items. When our movers arrived to Mr. Solomon's home on June 2nd, 2016 it was in complete disarray there were 8 times more the amount of stuff plus he required full packing since nothing was properly packaged to be transported. The representative who was on the pickup on Mr. Solomon's behalf was informed of all the additional items and packing and signed off on the contract. Our foreman was also in direct contact with Mr. Solomon throughout the whole move and he was also informed of the new charges and agreed to the new charges. Our company does not guarantee delivery dates due to unforeseen circumstances and Mr. Solomon was well aware of this and he requested the first date of delivery of June 3rd. We informed him that this was the first requested date of delivery and we would deliver from this date and on. Mr. Solomon then informed our company that he was leaving on June 12th and would not be back until June 22. We then informed Mr. Solomon we would do our best to accommodate him and we were able to deliver his items on this date like he requested. It wasn’t until the delivery that Mr. Solomon decided that he no longer wished to pay the price that was agreed upon with our company. Mr. Solomon was offered the option to cancel the move if he did not wish to pay the new charges by our company. We feel that due to the amount of items that Mr. Solomon had and the amount of packing and materials that were utilized Mr. Solomon received a very fair and reasonable price for his move.
