I had an insurance inspector up on the roof and he told me that the shingles were only 2-tab rather than 3-tab shingles. Mr. Horkeimer claims they don't make 2-tab shinigles anymore. Perhaps, but maybe the home manufacturer does for their own homes.
Where the 2 halves of the house come together, Horkeimer employees (or their contractors) had to put shingles at the peak of the roof. The inspector said that the shingles were not in a straight row. They were a few inches to one side or the other and there were EXPOSED NAILS just waiting for a leak to happen.
Sure the home only cost $80,000, but I thought it would be of better quality than this.
