The new owner is as bad or worse than the previous owner.  Michael Mays is very rude and unprofessional.  After tearing down the transmission, they wanted $3000 to repair it.  Car is only worth about 2K so I declined and instructed them to put it back together - it was still drivable.  Went to pick it up 3 days later and they hadn't even started to put it back together.  I was really mad so Mike and I agreed to a reduced amount of $1800 paid in advance.

After 8 weeks, they said it was completed but the car was in the exact same condition as when i brought it in.  So I took it back and they spent the next 6 additional weeks "working" on it.  After many contentious conversations, I finally get the car back.  However, "fixed" seems to be a subjective term for Mike and Mr. Transmission.

The car vibrates during acceleration and leaks transmission fluid.  I check the fluid level the next day and it was 2 full quarts overfilled!  You would think they could properly fill a transmission but no.  I have since had the leak diagnosed by a non-transmission shop and they showed me that they left the gasket off the differential cover.  They just tried to use a silicone goop to seal it.  Very "shade tree" if you ask me.

The experience was so bad that I won't even consider using their warranty.  I know Mike also owns the Mr. Transmission in Auburn, Alabama so I would avoid that place too.  I checked the local Better Business Bureau and they have a F rating with over 20 unresolved complaints.  Avoid this sham repair shop and take your business elsewhere.  You can't possible do worse.
