Write a Cease Communications letter stating clearly that they are to cease contacting your number looking for this person. They are calling the wrong number. Send it certified mail - return receipt (proof for court). If they continue to call after they have accepted the letter - you can sue them in Small Claims Court for FDCPA violations Also go to www.budhibbs.com and READ DEALING WITH COLLECTORS 101, although this collection attempt is not your bill, YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM ANYWAY! fyi - you do have to scroll down on the home page to get to Dealing with Collectors 101
