My Security Engine; Security Guard; CleanUp Antivirus MSESys; Always used shield icon (different colors, different names). Attaches to your company as a virus removal site (except it is the virus) known as rogue virus. Attached itself to my computer as a fake security client. Warned that my computer was infected, kept making a squealing noise (demonic sounding) and when I refused to accept the help, it would not leaveInternet
My Security Engine attached itself (pop-up) to my computer, pretending to be a security client. I had no viruses on my computer until MSE appeared. I would not leave no matter how many times I refused to order their services. I went to ADD/REMOVE programs and deleted My Security Engine several times, rebooted my computer, and it still remained. I then had to purchase a virus removal program, Stopzilla. This program found that My Security Engine was a rogue virus and the rep told me that they are an overseas company and basically nothing could be done. Our laws did not foresee this problem when the web was being created. This is the second time, this has happened to me. Unfortunately 2 yrs. ago, I did order the registry cleaner with the shield logo (same company, different name) and my computer worked for about a week and to this day, I'm unable to use that computer, I just bought another one. I know better now. The company uses the shield logo and windows company logo colors or any variation of colors or even solid colors, but always a shield logo.
