Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I took my children to a session that Nancy held at the Holiday Inn hotel in Bensalem, Pa last September. There were about 40 people there and she talked to us about modeling and how she manages different people and even gave us the "do's and don'ts" on selecting an agent. She was kind and courteous. My daughter (who was 14 years old at the time) was really interested and so I was willing to let her go for it, and I also had my other 2 children involved (then 4 and 1 years old). Nancy selected about 20 people and called them into the hallway. They never came back into the room. She then came back and told those of us who were left that the people who left were just not what she was looking for. She the spoke with my children and I and told us that we had the option to either get our own comp cards and photos or that her photographer could do them. The deal was that he would do all of the head shots and 100 comp cards for the next three years, which was good because the one year old would have to have his done every 6 months because his looks would continually change. I looked up the prices of comp cards and it seemed like a pretty good deal, so I went with it. The price was $600 per child and the photographer was Jared Pio who needed the money in advance(he even came to my house to get it!). I was under the impression that he was going to have a studio hooked up back at the Holiday Inn, with lights and photography equipment. I was shocked when we showed up and he took pictures of my children in the driveway and under the trees and on the bench in the parking lot! I spoke with nancy for about 5 months after that. I kept calling her because I didn't see the children on the website (they did show up about 2 months after the photo shoot), and because I hadn't seen my comp cards. She sent me a proof sheet from the pictures that Jared had done and I was less than impressed. She kept promising me that she was finding work for the children and that she had been looking into a project she was doing with "Philly Fit" magazine. I have not heard from Nancy or Jared in months. The phone number that I had for Nancy is disconnected, and the web site has been shut down. I know that when I was leaving, there was a woman there with a little boy who was about 5 years old and was able to play the keyboard. If anyone out there is this woman, please contact me. Please, we have to put a stop to this. I' sure there is 100 other things that we could have done with our money other than being ripped off by her and her boyfriend who she says is "just a photographer". If we all get together we can bring her to justice. This really crushed my 13year old, and I don't even trust anyone to ever try it again.

Apparently Nancy Hellyer-Harris is now serving time for her scam. I sympathize with the families that lost money investing in T & M Mgt. I went through a similar fleecing back in the late 1980's, by an agency called "Reflections By Dawn" out of the southwestern part of the USA. Dawn ran off with my $3000 before I even got my kids' photos! The employees were all nice enough, but Dawn, like Madame Hellyer-Harris was working her staff like dogs, while she skimmed the cream off the milk. What I learned and would like to share with other parents is that you always have choices and time to make those choices. Never sign a contract without having an attorney look it over. Never do business with anyone you haven't checked on through your local Better Business Bureau, and at any time something doesn't ring right, hold onto your checkbook and head for the door. On a further note... Madame's son Dan Harris, as well as Jared Pio were cleared of all charges.
