I paid $1000 to NADN for them to review my last three years tax returns and to complete my returns for years 2002 and 2003. They made some guarantees for the year 2003 if I followed their program.
They made me believe the business package they offered would increase my return, even though I told them we were not working the business any more and only received residual income. When I received the package and read the book, it completely contradicted what I was told on the phone.
I decided I would not worry about that and hope for good news on my previous 3 tax return revisions that NADN was supposedly working on. I finally received a phone call from them. I was excited to hear how the review of my returns was going.
The call was not about my returns. It was a pushy guy wanting me to buy into the "Mall for All" scheme for $3000. He said if I back dated my check to 12/31/02 he could get me a $5000 tax credit and a $5000 tax deduction for the year 2002, even though the current date was 1/2003. I told him that was not ethical and I was not interested.
By February I had received all the required records to file my 2002 return. I started calling NADN to talk to my laison (who ever that is). I've called every number and extention I could get but have never got anything but answering machines.
Now its the end of February and I'm thinking I will have to hire someone else to do my tax return. Goodbye $1000!!!!
