It was my first and last time dealing with National Jewelry & Pawn. I entered the store located on Guess Road in Durham and was immediately suspected of trying to get a loan on counterfeit or fake designer jewelry. Carmen was the dumbest hater that I have ever seen and because of her disparaging treatment of me, I will never do business with this company again.
Since Carmen is a working poor woman, she thinks the same about every Black female who walks in the door. Not all of us receive public assistance, are underemployed or unemployed. Carmen does not believe that a Black woman could earn enough money to purchase a real LV, and this demonstration of ignorance clearly shows. I happened to have experienced a serious and sudden financial problem and could not wait until the end of the month for my paycheck. As a state employee, I am paid once a month. Otherwise, I would never deal with the likes of Carmen. This place also overcharged me in interest when I redeemed my jewelry. The Attorney General's office would want to know this.
Do not waste your time with these clowns.
