Nationwide Consulting Services Ever seen the movie "Matchstick Men"? HANG UP ON THESE FAKERS! SCAMMING NATIONWIDE CONSULTING SERVICES' slogan should be "Callusing the world, one gullible person at a time". Bear Delaware
My husband and I were moving away from family last summer and expecting our first child. Trying to compensate for trying to stay home with our child, I looked for grants others had told me could be found online.
The exact thing happened to me that I've read about in others' reports. The nice lady calling, the money being taken from our account, receiving the packet, and having no way to contact them after that.
As of May 2008, the number is for a supposed "Professional Athletic Scholarship Service", but after trying every option, it would say that number was invalid. I contacted Nationwide Consulting COMPANY that I found online, but they are not the rippoff people; they're just one of countless companies that use "Nationwide" in their name.
Why, oh WHY, didn't I check them out before trusting them?! My husband trusted me, and that trust as well as our family finances suffered as a result.
I never sent my application booklet (which contains NOTHING of Nationwide's name or contact info - red flag - packet and still have the cover letter (signature space blank, of course), so if the police or anyone investigating to prosecute wants it, count me in.
Perhaps nothing will come of all our reports, and this site provided merely an opportunity to vent, but I will find peace in Romans 12:19 & I Peter 2:14 that assure me God knows who these deceivers are, and He'll take care of them appropriately than all the illegal things I'd like to do to them! There will always be evil in the world, and while I'd love to see these people "pay", I'd be just as happy to get my money back and avoid ever being scammed again.
