Where do I start? Ok. I ordered a Xiaomi Mi Max 3 from this company on eBay since their feedback rating was so high. I got it to replace my badly damaged Mi Max 2. However, when I got it, nothing worked. WiFi couldn't turn on, Sim card wasn't recognized at all, and the camera crashed the whole phone upon opening. Going into CIT broke the phone as well, and it denied having an IMEI number.
Upon uploading this info to the MIUI forums, I was informed that the seller put his own rom on the phone and that the one on there wasn't official since there was no global rom available for it yet. At this point I was fed up. I messaged them asking to accept a return as I still had every single thing from the package down to the sim card remover.
What I got in reply was no text, just a link to a super sketchy website on how to do a hard reset of a phone that wasn't even what I ordered. I had tried the first two methods the site suggested before, and the last method apparently contained a virus according to avast. What kind of service rep uses this as their method of support?
Since that, I messaged them with my findings from the forum and insisted on a return. They have not responded to me since then. I have no idea how this company managed to get such a high rating if this is how they deal with sending out defective phones. Mostly posting here to get the rage out as my eBay account is too new to leave feedback. Maybe I'll change my mind if they actually take my return, we'll see. Otherwise, I'd say don't try you luck with this company. It's not worth it.
