Contacted obituary.us.org through the internet.  I was trying to obtain a copy of a death certificate from Texas.  They claimed that they were the only "legitimate" service out there that really changes only $1.00 for that type of service.  I gave the information about the decedent, as much as I knew, and a search was started.  Good news, they say, we've found that record.  Do you want us to send it to you?  Sure.  I agreed to pay the $1.00, and did so on my bank card (big mistake).  When I finished with the check-out, it suddenly marked boxes which I could not get it uncheck, and said it would be a total of $2.47.  Whatever.  I just went on with it.  I figured it was cheaper than driving 100 miles and looking through records to find it.  Suddenly, they say the report is being sent to your email and to your home.  I never received an email.  I quickly went onto their live chat option, and I had conversations with numerous people assuring me that the report was forthcoming.  Still never got it.  I ran to my bank, and they had changed my account $1.00 plus $18.95.  I disputed that amount with my bank, and they are filing a report and putting a hold on that.  I finally found a phone number where you can speak with someone.  They tell me that they are sorry I'm unhappy but swear they are a legitimate service and just didn't happen to have my record.  They are refunding my $18.95 within 2-3 business days.  (We'll see).  Please do not use this service.  There are so many other services that I could have used that do have good reputations.  I just got scammed by these *********.
