I received a call from this group one day asking to confirm my billing for a yellow pages ad that I have running. The next thing I know I get a call asking me to confirm a lay out for an online ad costing 479.99. I said that I don't want such an ad and that I had made no such agreement with anyone. The guy insisted that I had and that a bill was on it's way. To witch I responded please cancel any billing and do not place any ads in my name.

Next, the bill shows up and sure enough,479.99 is what I was charged for nothing,So I call the # on the bill and was played a recording of the conversation I had with the guy I thought was with the yellow pages. I was told that a verbal contract had been made and I would be sent to collections if I did not pay.He said that 30 days had passed without my canceling this contract so it was all very aboveboard. I asked if he had the recording of the layout conversation when I told the guy to cancel the ad only 3 or 4 days after I was first contacted. He did not.

I looked online for some kind of ad on there site and found nothing.but these bills keep coming, now with late fees.Don.t pay, Don,t respond,Unless like me you just fax a copy of these reports to them for fun.

A legitimate company would not be using a mail drop in a town which is 20 miles from the Canadian border! This usually indicates an unscrupulous Canadian scam artist who thinks that he can hoodwink his victims by giving them an American mailing address! If I were you, I'd file a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's Office and the United States Postal Inspection Service against, not only the company that ripped you off, but Weena Boyle, the owner of "Plattsburgh Mail and Shipping Center", the mail drop which facilitates these kinds of ripoff artists!
