I  ordered the "Trial package"  for Acai Berry  for  $ 1.95.  I  looked on their website if there was any catch but when I  saw that i was just authorizing a charge of  $ 1.95  I  did not  worry too much.

I  always thought that what matters is the amount that you authorize when entering the credit card number.  First I  only saw that charge of  $ 1.95  on my credit card bill but then the next one showed another $ 302,-  (a total of  8  charges).  I  had not  placed another order and I  remember that  the postal carrier tried to deliver 2  packages that I  refused to accept.  These  packages did not even show a  sender,  just  some  name like  "shipping center"  or  something similar.

here is my credit card statement after I  ordered the "Sample"  for $ 1,95:

Lifeberry              08/10  $ 87.13
Nutritionalsupp      08/03  $ 58.71
Healthmember       08/10  $ 7.14
Oxi-Berry              08/19  $  1.95   (this charge was already showing up in the previous
                                         CC  statement)
Oxi-Berry              08/19  $  2.00
Oxi-Berry              08/19  $ 83.18
VH Access            08/19   $  3.24
Nutritionalsupp       08/20   $ 58.71

I  don't  remember that I  signed up for anything  and never saw anything that would say that I  would get charged anything else than the $ 1.95

When I called the  credit card company to dispute these charges they were familiar with this company and asked me  "did you read the terms and conditions ?"   I  don't  remember if  there were any terms and conditions on their website but I  believe that this  is  rediculous:  there should be some laws  that require to make it clear how much  the  cardmember is going to be  charged.  Where are the limits  to  these games ?   Is it  possible  to  hide a link for  "terms and conditions"  somewhere on the website  linked  to  1000  pages  of  fine printed  and  to  tell the customer that he signs  up  for  799  internet services  by  ordering the sample for $ 1,95  ??????

When I  called  the number for "healthmember"  (888-779-5303)  the guy told me:  you signed up for access for our  internet site and the service is non-refundable.
