Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I started with this company in June this year and turned around and quit last week. This company is all about money and nothing else as I will explain later. At first they try to impress you about everything they can and turn around and back stab you as a driver. I was making the miles but when it came to pay day it turned out completely different.

They had charged me every time I sent in for request for funds and no matter how much it was, it was found on the paystub as a deduction with no reimbursement. They also charge the driver for just about anything they do not do. Such as not making check calls, failing to use the communication system in the truck and calling them, freight claims, any preventable accidents and you must weigh every load no matter how light in order to receive a pay check.

There is a list of items for what they charge the driver for and is ridiculous for anybody to hear. First off, they start every new driver off at .32 cents per mile no matter how long you have been driving for. Let me break that down: your base pay is .25 cpm with .07 cpm as per diem. There is no option around this because you get told that this is the only way that they pay is per diem and per diem only. The driver has no choice on how he wants paid. They want your bank information so THAT THE DRIVER HAS TO DEPOSIT HIS /HER OWN CHECK into their own bank account. They set it up for you through COMDATA but they will not deposit the check.

Back to this company making money. They had fired a driver just because the driver parked at a adult video store and was seen there. The driver was seen by the wife of the CEO of 3M. I had been on the road for them for 6 straight weeks, yes 6 straight weeks and have the log book to prove it. I put in for home time and got refused to go home because they wanted their freight moved from place to place. There are a few people in particular there that will screw the drivers over and the rest will go along with them. They could care less about the drivers well being as long as they are making money. I had been told to call in the morning about why I was refused my home time and got absolutely nowhere with them. They had refused calls from me and my wife and when we call it goes unanswered and to their voice mail.

This has happened to me since I quit. When I call about the paycheck since they HAD BLOCKED me from obtaining my check and everything the calls goes unanswered. Out of working for them for 6 weeks I only made $1100 in that time. They will not send you by the terminal either to pick up necessary items you need such as com-checks and trip sheets. I called about stopping by to pick up some of these items and got told NO we will fax them to you at the nearest truck stop. They expect you as the driver to have the money and get them. They will give you 2 log books after orientation so they do not have to see you back at the yard for two months. Thats if you are lucky enough to get there.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, August 30, 2010

I was an employee of Palmentere Brothers hey peabody I think we should get together and file a class action lawsuit against them. They had ripped me off as well by falsifying my dac report plus they are now blocking my unemployment by making false statements to the unemployment office. this company is the worst company I have ever worked for in the five years that I have been driving.
