I placed a simple order of 100 medium to large dried poppy pods on April 2, 2016. My card was charged immediately and a boilerplate success statement was sent to my email address shortly thereafter. According to her own policies she sends out the order by 11AM pacific time that day if placed prior to that time or the next business day if after. I heard nothing on Saturday (which is fine, but in the past she would send items on Saturday) nor Monday. I emailed her Monday evening explaining I had placed an order and needed it for a wedding arrangement. She finally sent it on Tuesday the 4th, which is also no big deal, however I told her I needed them by Saturday so I could finish off the arrangements for the wedding that night I had planned. Coincidentally I used three left over dried poppies from her as a mock up to show the customer my idea of which they liked and ordered. The dried poppies were to be delivered on Thursday the 7th, however the post office lost them, I.E. they left the sorting facility and that was the last status I received from the post office. I contacted the post office and they are still looking for them as of April 14. Again not her fault. I then tried contacting Sweet Paula almost everyday after the 8th of April without any response.

She finally responded on or around late on the 14th of April stating that when she got home she would look into the issue and resend the dried poppies. Thereafter I have not heard anything from her. I have no idea what the deal is since I've ordered from her before without issue. I've had to refund a large part of the wedding arrangement that took hours to prepare not only for the first customer, but another one as well as I assumed and was hoping she would keep her word as in the past. She didn't. I don't use dried poppies regularly, but on the occasions I do I used Paula. The point is that she states on her own poorly designed website that if the mail fails she will resend promptly. She doesn't. The absolutely most frustrating part is that she has stopped responding to emails. I tried sending from another google email account I have as I wondered if my hotmail emails were being sent to her spam folder. That didn't work either and she has a Google email account. Her website was redesigned and doesn't work on any mobile device because of the scroll window within a scroll window. What's more is that her website either isn't informing her of new orders or she is ignoring the indicator that tells her she has a new order. Summarily she ignores email and shows no willingness to attempt any sort of customer service.

As a result my money is tied up in disputing the charge. I would say try Rachel's Flowers and Weddings, but that online store has its own issues. I know my order was at the last minute and the post office fiasco is not her fault either, but the absolute lack of communication is astounding given the times we live in. I tried calling the phone number that is stated on the credit card charge and it is out of order. I am highly considering on starting my own online business so that folks can get their arts and crafts quickly and without hassle and the way Paula handles business makes me think this will be a breeze and I can quit my day job. The simple missing ingredient is communication!
