PDM International, AMS Financial MISLEADING SALES TACTICS AND INFORMATION REGARDING CANCELLATIONS Spokane Washington
HERE IS MY COMPLAINT I FILED WITH THE BBB
I Received a call from PDM International, a DBA of AMS Financial, stating that they could lower the interest rates on my business credit cards. I asked "what can your company do that I can't do myself." I was told that because their company has a history of working with credit card companies and because of who they are they have more leverage and that credit card companies are more willing to negotiate with them versus individual card holders. I was told they have a money back guarantee if I'm not satisfied and if they can't save me over 2,000.00 by lowering my rates. It took several weeks to set up a 3 way with my credit card companies a representative and myself.
During the call, the rep asked my cc company if they were willing to lower my interest rates - the cc rep stated that no they were not able to and the current rate would remain unchanged. After the cc company hung up, I asked the rep from AMS if that was the extent of my 790.00 fee. She told me that sometimes they were able to reduce rates and other times they were not. I, of course, got extremely upset and told her what I was told during the initial sales pitch and that I wanted a refund if this is all they do. I also stated that I could have done exactly what she did myself and it would cost me anything. She asked if I'd like to continue because they usually do get a reduced rate. I said we'd try one more but after that I was done!
So next we called Advanta and the conversation went the same, this time Advanta said that they could reduce my rate - again, I told the rep that I could have done exactly what she did at no charge. Where was the 790.00 value? I stated again, that I wasn't happy with their services and misleading sales tactics and wanted a refund. After waiting for a refund to show up - which never came, I contacted the company and spoke with a supervisor named Gary. He said he would look into the matter and call me back. 6 messages from me to him later - he still has never once returned any of my phone calls.
I filed a complaint with my cc company and contacted DMCC the third party sales company involved with PDM and spoke with Arthur who stated he would handle the matter, that he was very sorry for the miscommunication, and that my complaint should have been handled immediately. My credit card was charged on November 26th - it is now March and I'm still waiting for a resolution. The company has not made one attempt to contact me to resolve this issue and I have made several.
An internet search for PDM and AMS Financial shows a pattern of the same consumer issue as noted on complaints board, ripoff report, and BBB rating which states "customer complaints reflect a pattern alleging misleading information at point of sale regarding cancellations." DO NOT AGREE TO ANY SALES PITCH FROM PDM INTERNATIONA - AMS FINANCIAL - OR THEIR THIRD PARY SALES DMCC LOCATED IN DEERFIELD BEACH FLORIDA. I WISH I HAD DONE AN INTERNET SEARCH PRIOR TO SIGNING UP.
