Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

To start with, when I spoke with the first salesman, I told him I could move myself for only $2500 and I was not interested in paying more. He told me that he could guarantee my rate not go over $3000.  I asked if it would go up if my items ended up weighing over the estimated value and he said no.  He said it would never be over $3000.  I knew it was more than likely a lie, but was hoping I could trust the company.  Later after receiving a call from the individual to get an accurate count, I am then told my balance was $3400 and that there is no guarantee.  Since I had already made a down payment and could not get things around to do it myself in three days I was stuck.  However, when the drivers got there it turns out now my bill is $3900.  Once again, I am stuck and have no choice.  On top of all of that, I paid for a lamp to be packed by the movers and I was told they could not do that so I ended up doing so.  I was told I had to buy a bag for the mattress, there was no bag.  Where these two items removed from my bill, not at all.

Second, according to my bill I paid for 6068 lbs. and I was told on the phone that I would only pay actual weight in the end.  I was told the truck would fuel up, scale, pickup, fuel up and rescale.  I was then told I would be given the scale tickets.  I did receive two scale tickets for two different trucks so they are useless and do not tell me at all if my items truly weighed 6068 lbs.  How am I to believe this when I was continuously lied to through the entire process.

Third, when I finally got someone here to assemble my desk I find out I am missing a piece.  Now I must purchase a new one at my expense cause I did not catch it when delivered.  I apparently was to know the initial inventory was incorrect on the number of pieces there were to the desk when loaded.  In addition, a lamp was broke.

I have nothing to do with these movers in your report. As a fellow consumer, I am so sorry you experienced this hassel.   I have a couple of quick tips for you and others that are planning to move (anywhere).

Just checking briefly, their website is a dead give-away that you will be ripped off. The website has no information. Clicking on the Terms and Conditions goes nowhere. Checking the US DOT and MC Number shows that they aren't even movers at all.  They are moving brokers.  Big difference between the two.  Then if you look at the facebook reviews you see nothing but bad reviews.  My tip is to check those things out before you contact anyone that presents themselves as a mover. Takes less than a minute. Would have saved you a ton of money.

Don't use moving brokers,  you will be subject to one of the most common moving scams around:  initial good price (too good to be true) and then you end up paying more to actually get your stuff moved. Stay away from moving brokers.

Always check the US DOT and MC Number to see who/what you are considering for your move.

Get written binding quotes from actual movers that come to your home to write up the inventory and quote. Don't mess with the online quotes for moving unless you want to get ripped off.
