Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I received a phone call from an Internet/Facebook marketing associate stating how my business Facebook page could be improved. After demonstrating what the company had to offer, I elected to test the 10 day trial period that would give me a video slide on my FB bus page, content articles and call-to-action buttons provided that it would be ready 24-48 hours. Today is day 5 and they did not have the FB page update live. I called to express my disappointment that I missed a weekend of new impressions and just wanted to cancel the account and have my money refunded since PromoterROI failed to perform services to my facebook business page within the agreed upon 48 hour deadline (also stated in their email).

It was a simple request to refund my money. They failed to admit that they under performed and would not refund my money. I countered why I was unhappy about their work and how indicative it may be in the future, but it did not matter to them - all they were interested in was the money and not satisfying the client. Realtors - beware that they are over promising. I had to call my credit card company to place a hold on potential charges and requested the credit to my account. We shall see how business savvy they are to accept responsibility, admit they did not perform as promised, cause me to spend time submitting this complaint and finally, who knows how much lost revenue because of their selfish business decision.

A change of direction - in the wrong direction - again.

Sad to say that during the Thanksgiving holidays, I placed a call on 11/17/18 to have edits made to my Facebook business page. I had to wait on hold for over 40 minutes which is why I sent an email, after voicing my complaint to the representative, that I was no longer interested in their service and I was goiing to discontinue uing Promote ROI. I have been told that I have to speak to a representative to discontinue in an email - no it is not necessary. I sure as heck don't have 40 minutes to risk waiting every time I call. An email was acknowledged that they knew I was not happy.

On 2/25 I called to request a refund on the charges to my credit card. The representative tried every way possible to deny that would happen. I asked for her supervisor to call me which she said she would leave notes to make happen. On the 27th, I again called to ask for assistance and the representative said she saw the notes for the supervisor to call. Today is 3/6 and I have  no contact from Promote.POI. So I called again and waitedd over 45 minutes and the representative I spoke with had no notes of the previous calls. Her supervisor was out to lunch but would call me. I looked at my phone and told this representative I had been on the line for 1 hour 3 minutes!

I receive an email stating they cancelled my account as of today and would not issue a refund after I sent copies of the discontinue email notice dated 11/17/18, as well as my initial Ripoff Alert complaint and the Glassdoor employee comment. The nameless "supervisor" elected not to call me and said I could do whatever I needed to but not to expect a refund. I get another email stating I spoke with the supervisor and I respond back to the email that I was supposed to speak with the "supervisor" who was out to lunch - so there are some very suspicious activities going on now.

I encourage you to see this employee heads up link below about Promote.ROI. They operate similarly to Z_7, another California based company I had problems with billing. PromoteROI does not send emails when they withdraw automatic payments. This is sneaky and you should avoid any company that operates that way. The agent who I coresponded with early in October during the second trail run is no longer with the company. I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well. I gave this company every chance to remedy the problem as I did in the first instance. Their business relations skills are lacking. Feel free to email me for questions.

Update to how PromoteROI.com has responded

This should be considered an update as the original complaintant and I have to say that as a business owner with an extensive business background, I understand employees can make mistakes and some decisions are very costly to recover from. A representative named Jay reached out to me late July and wanted to understand where they failed and what they could do to repair a lost client and/or exceed my expectations. My belief is when someone takes time out to hear customers express how they feel and they "own the problem", I am much more open to resolve the situtation, hope they can grow positively and build from this experience so as to never repeat the trivial cost I incurred. Long story short, the employee that handled my problem incorrectly is no longer with the company and my case is being used as a training example for future representatives on how to treat clients.

I applaud the "exceeding the client expectations" mindset demonstrated by Jay and his generous offer to make up for the experience. Firstly, he offered to refund my charge and I can confirm that it took place. Secondly, I will be testing out his new marketing program for an upcoming residential property listing I have and we will see how well it works. Finally, it is quite refreshing to see that there are some business operators who take on their job responsibilities with a professional approach and attitude. I can say that I would faithfully restore PromoteROI.com's reputation to reputable, honesty and integrity-minded and you are welcome to contact me to inquire about how well their marketing product worked for me.
