I used to work for quality plus cleaners and I personally know how terribly run this company is. I know Hass (the owner) and I think it is disgusting how he treats his employees and I am so glad not to be working there anymore. As for the coupon situation...That counter clerk is a moron. The coupon is applied to one ticket, UNLESS it doesn't take the full amount off. Then you apply the rest of the discount to another ticket. I was a manager of many different stores, and I often had to modify many tickets that the other clerks messed up. Many times what happens is the clothes are counted and put onto seperate tickets that are then tagged in by different people. For example, the most that can go on a ticket is 8 dry cleaning pieces, so if you brought in 13 d/c pants, then 8 would be on one ticket, and then 5 on another. One person will tag in the 8 and another will tag in the 5 and which ever ticket the coupon was attached to would be the ticket that it was applied to. The counter girls are often so careless that they don't mark on the tickets that you had the $10.00 off. Some of the girls are so careless that they themselves take in all your clothing and coupon and tag it all in, and still don't apply the coupon right. If $5.75 was taken off one ticket and you had the 20% off max. of $10 coupon then the clerk should have taken off $4.25 on the other ticket, which is the whole amount. Quality Plus Cleaners is poorly run and even more poorly staffed. The plant and stores are full of people who just don't care. If something is ruined or destroyed during the cleaning process, it is automatically pushed off onto the counter clerks and they are then told they were being negligent for not "spotting and marking" the problem before-hand. Hass and his other Supervisors make all kinds of excuses on how it is not the plants fault and there was no way it was done there by the cleaning process. Which of course is bull crap! To be reimbursed for something that was destroyed or lost, there is only a couple of ways this can be done, 1. If you are a very important customer that spends a lot of money 2. if the counter person persistenly faxes and calls to bother their supervisor and argues and argues that the customer needs to be reimbursed because we messed their stuff up and they are good customers that we need to keep because of the amount of money that they spend. Even with the counter clerk on your side trying to fight for the customer to be reimbursed or even handled correctly they are in turn receiving vicious verbal abuse by the owner and his supervisors that oversee all the stores. The counter clerks are pretty much cursed out every time they raise the issue of the certain customer they are trying to help. this often leads to the counter clerks just ignoring and making excuses for the problem. Don't get me wrong, some customers are fortunate enough to get a hold of Hass and then he promptly pays them for their damaged items, but even if the customers do get a prompt reaction, the counter clerk gets the heat for it. They are still blamed and yelled at. The only good thing that came out of working for Quality Plus was the friendships I made with other Clerks. But even those aren't worth the verbal abuse and stress that I left work every day enduring. The stress level in that place is a domino effect. It starts from Hass being stressed and goes to him yelling at his plant managers, the plant managers then in turn start screaming and cursing the Store managers, to the store managers yelling at the counter clerks, to the counter clerks yelling at fellow counter clerks, and even the customers!! Quality Plus is a total rip-off and doesn't deserve anyone's business!!!!
