Reflex Nutrition is a complete rip off when it comes to product prices and customer service. I am kind of new to using supplements and the owner of Reflex in Edmonton totally took advantage of me. I was persuaded to come into his store by a sign outside adverting cheap protein.
When I got inside I was quickly told that the protein I wanted was out of stock and he had a "better" protein. I asked him if he could take my name and number and call me when the advertised protein was in stock. He said that he trains athletes from all over the country so he knows what is the "best" product. I asked him why he would advertise poor quality product. He didn't have an answer but quickly started to show me what products he wanted to sell me (bait and switch).
I ended up buying around $185 worth of product in what can only be called HIGH PRESSURE sales. I then found out I could have purchased the products at GNC across the street for about $40 less.
I tired to return the UNOPENED product 2 days later for a full refund (as I was told I could) but I was told I would not be allowed to return the product only exchange it. I told him his prices were not competitive and exchanging products that were not competitively priced for other over priced product was not acceptable. He came up with every excuse in the book on why his prices are what they are (other stores sell expired product - not true!). I ended up keeping the product and filing a report with the BBB as I was denied the refund as promised.
My customer experience was horrible, not to mention while I was trying to return the product two customers were talking about anabolic steroids.
Avoid Reflex in Edmonton!! The guy running it is like a used car salesman who will say anything to sell you what HE wants to sell you! As a side note I talked to the sales person at GNC across the street and she said business has actually increased since Reflex opened up! The sales person told me it was crazy how many complaints they get about Reflex (horrible pricing, high pressure sales, limited selection).
