Remington College Great for some. Terrible for others. Job assist useless. ripoff Colorado Springs Colorado
My girlfriend took the course for Pharmacy Technician. They promised that she would have help in finding a job at the end of the course and that she would be qualified for the jobs she applied for at different pharmacys throughout Colorado. A lot of students are actually hired on at the location at which they do their externship non-paid training. However, her externship was at Fort Carson. She was told by the school that Fort Carson hospital would have the option of hiring her on at the end of her externship.
This was not true. The pharmacy on Fort Carson is government controlled and hires can only be sought through the CPOL online army civilian job page. There were no listing for a pharmacy tech position. When a position came up for Pharmacy tech, she applied when they said they were hiring "many new employees for the posistions of pharmacy technicians" and she was told that she was NOT QUALIFIED for the position. Upon contacting Remington they apologized and offered to assist her with further job placement. She made an appointment to talk to a job counselor at the school. She walked in the room and was handed a list of pharmacys in Colorado Springs.
This is not assistance. She could have opened a phone book and got that kind of help. 1 full year and 26 rejection notices later stating how she is "NOT QUALIFIED", she still has no job in the pharmacy technician field though she is still making payments to the school. Once they have your money, they won't help you with anything. BEWARE.
