I purchased a vehicle from these people Oct 2nd, service engine light came on right after purchased. I even purchased a warranty, which was suppose to take 15-days to go in effect. Well, on the 5th I took the car in so they could see why the light was on and repair it. That didn't happen either, I had a funeral to go to on the 7th in Chicago. they still had my car, they gave me one loaner that I had to tell them that it was a death trap. So, I was given another loaner, this time it was a truck that I was told would have no problems with. Well, on the way home with 458 miles to go the truck went dead on the expressway during Wisconsin rush-hour. A police officer said, it was a mechanical problem and then towed it because we had been there for over 2-hours. When I got back without the truck, the owner said I was responsible for the towing. I said I couldn't afford that type of money, that's when they suggested the owner use my warranty money. That was the owner's intentions anyway, since they knew why that service engine light was on. It wasn't going to pass the inspection for the warranty without them actually repairing the car. Now, I have a car that is just sitting in front of my house, because if I drive it, it over heats in 15 minutes. They shouldn't do people like that to make a quick buck, what if me and my family are in that car and something major happens. They'll just go on to the next family and take their hard earned money.

I had a similar problem. I purchased a car through these people back in 2006. It hasnt work the entire time Ive owned it. These people are con artists and need to be stopped. Within the first week of owning my car the brakes gave out and 2 of the tires blew off and when I called they told me I should replace those parts on my own. I didnt get a warranty with my car and I wish I had. Ive owned the chevy Malibu I bought from there for 3 years and it has NEVER worked right. It didn't run for the first 3 months I had it. Ive spent twice what the car cost just fixing it. I hope other people see this report and never go to these people again. AVOID RISING STAR AUTO AT ALL COSTS!!!
