1. America is a paradise and I 100% love it here but that's not the point foolish troll-the point about the mentioning of America being a paradise was that although America is one it does not mean that everyone is enjoying their own personal paradise in America because many people have different problems in America that keep them from enjoying the paradise conditions of America!
2. In answer to your own question you indeed need a comprehension lesson yourself because if it requires a long explanation to get a point across to you then you are severely lacking in comprehension skills it seems. Proper schooling again seems to be the option!
3. Last I checked asking for compassion was not an error and if it is an error to you then that makes you erroneous-Oops!-perhaps you need some comprehension skills to figure out that word!
4. I do not disagree that whoever is responsible for whatever payment of bill that should be made should be responsible! There was never a dispute with that!

Now who needs a reading comprehension lesson? Your list of errors have nothing to do with my post. I was merely agreeing with Flynrider because the OP thinks the owner of the property is not responsible for unpaid utility bills.
I was also commenting on your unwanted judgement of America not being a paradise for some. Are you privy to the workings of the minds of all people? In my opinion America IS a paradise and worth fighting for.
If you are having a problem keeping up ask for help.

I am Mike from Cincinnati, the landlord and owner of this property. I have to look the records up and will get back in a few days with the facts and only the facts on this case. For one thing, the water, sewer & garbage bill was in Robyn's name. But since she did not pay the bill, I was billed from the City of Loveland Ohio Utility Department. If a tenant in the City of Loveland Ohio does not pay their bill, the landlord has to pay. If you want, just call them and verify that the landlord has to pay if the tenant does not pay. The bill was over $400.00

Indeed this troll regular who lives on the ROR and in the deluded prison of his mind and warped thinking which indeed is his own personal H**L has decided to lack the commonsensical understanding of the matter at hand and reading skills as well to boot
(1) No one is saying that she should not pay back the person
(2) No one is saying that one should not follow the law
(3) No one is saying that she did not do wrong
which was not the point of the rebuttal...
What one is saying is:
(1) Be Fair and give the woman chance to repay back the person
(2) Be considerate and compassionate of her situation
(3) Give her time to get back on her feet

I don't know about the laws in the OPs state but I have rented homes in two other states and had to pay the bills after the renter ran out. The security did not cover the bills and the cleanup.
A paradise is the perception/creation of the individual. It is sad that 'This is the Truth' choses to live in his personal h**l. Insulting others shows that the toll taken living in this h**l has stunted his mental growth.

Most utilities will not reconnect service to a residence with outstanding unpaid bills. If the owner wants to rent it, he will have to take care of his deadbeat tenant's bill before the next tenant can resume service. You should not automatically assume that you can shaft the utility company without affecting the landlord.
It's people like you that will make the OP think twice about extending a helping hand to someone in need. Maybe you should have a talk with your pastor about that.

At the advice of a Pastor I was asked to give my side of the story. I was misrepresented by the case in question and my name attached to an agreement that I had NO part of.
I moved into the house Nov. 15 on a month to month and paid 500.00 deposit and 500.00 30 days later. The rent was 1,500.00 a month. It was Christmas and my daughter had come to live we me
after separating from her husband so I had my teenage son, my daughter and grand daughter to support. I was trying to start a new business working with someone who also needed a place to live. He had 4 small children one of which is handicapped. He moved into one of the bedrooms so he had a place to bring the kids on visitation. I went to Mike in Jan and said I wasn't going to be able to afford to live there with all the financial struggles and he said that was fine I could just move out.
But then Mike went into a lease agreement with my friend so he could stay. I began staying with my parents. But continued to come back and forth to the house because my son was in school, so I let him go live with his father who lived in the same school district and I was able to spend time with him there.
When mike filed the case he included my name because the clerk told him he should add anyone who might be connected to who was living in the house. When Mike informed me of this I was so upset but he had already done it. The clerk said it would protect him from me coming back to the house ( which I would have never done).
As far as the Electric and Water. Yes I owe Mike on electric, my ex-husband stuck me with a huge electric bill because the account was in my name. I was unable to pay the debt and a deposit to get it in my name. I never hid that from Mike. Again he and his new lease agreement should have made those changes that was not on me. The trash and water remained in my name and that was not Mikes to pay so I rebut that statement. There are many people who leave rentals owing utility bills
It doesn't go against the owner but the renter and they make you pay it! If it wasn't the case I wouldn't have been stuck with the electric bill from my past residence with my ex husband.
That would not have been Mikes responsibility. I have made some bad decisions based on depression, divorce, and trying to maintain some sort of stability for my children but to be put out in the public a viewed a User is unfair and inaccurate.

Since you say that you have nothing to hide then I have contacted you But-it would be more appropriate to make that claim if
A. You did pay back this person-if not completely at least promise to pay back the person incrementally
B. You provided a plan of how you were going to pay back this person on the ROR
You say that the sites like these only present part of the story-which is not true because the ROR does not tell people what to post but if you believe you can give the full picture of your story then by all means do so and make your story in a more complete one then by telling everyone your side!

God Bless You Mike and your family and your business. Thank you that you helped a woman who was struggling to help her children after a horrible divorce and no child support from my Ex husband of some 20 plus yrs. God Bless You that you are a caring giving man and I there was never an intent to use you or leave you with debt.
I am moving forward and striving to be all God wants me to be and in the meantime will continue to pray for you and your family.
We have all made bad decisions in our personal life including you ( things of which I chose not to disclose) But bad things do happen to good people including me. I would be more than happy to stay in communication with you by email but will not give the public anymore fuel to engage in a personal struggle of either of our lives.
