Having been to this restaurant more recently than the original poster, I can't attest to the clarity of the menu at that point. However, the menu is clear on labeling the one with lettuce & tomatoes as a Cheesesteak Sandwich and the one with sauce a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. If the person with the original complaint had been calling the sandwich a "Philly Cheesesteak" instead of a "Cheesesteak", technically the consumer was incorrect and the cook was correct. Oh, and Rocky's is still doing a booming business despite their slightly hidden location and have been open for a year as of last month (they had a first anniversary celebration). I've been treated with nothing but kindness and a family atmosphere every time I have gone there.

Perhaps if you had not gotten "angry" as you admit in your post, the manager would have been more receptive to dealing with you and would not have kicked you out of his eating establishment. A manager of a busy restaurant has no time for dealing with "angry" customers and it is much easier to just kick such people out rather than try to work something out with them. Always remember, you will catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, if you get my drift ...

A guy I know has a little one-man operation where he sells Portuguese bean soup with a sandwich on the side. That's it, just soup and sandwich, with a soda. There is only one price on the sign. He does it that way to keep costs down, and also he's in a trailer with limited space. Yet, every day there are people that walk up and order hamburgers, hot dogs, bottled water, steak, spaghetti, you name it. It drives him nuts after awhile and he may get a bit snippy to some folks, like asking them if they can read, and telling them to shove off. It's a hoot to watch. And Yes, he still does a good business.

And already the talk of the town... HAHAHAHA! Seriously, if that is how they run their business, you'll be pleased to know you can always try the new bar&grille that takes the building over.

I appreciate your comments, but no, this sections of North Little Rock (Indian Hills) is a great neighborhood. Very family oriented with good schools and lots of churches around. It's not the 'hood at all! ;-)

Jyll, I was stationed at LRAFB 1989-1990 and remember that part of NLR to be pretty rough with drug activity and wanna be gangs. Is it still that way? Maybe this gut will do this to the wrong customer..If you know what I mean! Problem solved.
