I received an "order confirmation" email from their order confirmation account for a magazine subscription and a book that I did not order. The "Payment Method" was listed as "Bill Me" at the bottom of the email, and the company had clearly purchased my personal information - name and address - from somewhere. I have never even heard of Rodale until this came about, but I've read several other Ripoff Reports about similar problems with them, and the BBB definitely has a lot of complaints on them. Many others cited calls by collection agencies to try and collect on products that had never been ordered or had been thrown in with something else a person actually did order. Not cool, guys.
Please, for your own sake and that of others, file a complaint with the BBB and try to get it resolved quickly. I didn't even bother to call them, because many others said they don't answer or are unhelpful, and I don't want to expose my phone number to them. Please note that if you have received this email from them, you are not required to make payment or return any of the items sent to you. You can check the FTC resource below for more information.
