I was excited to finally receive my new sofa and tile top coffee table after having to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Prior to my delivery date, I searched on the internet for "Rooms To Go Delivery" and read several upon several complaints about problems with wrong furniture being delivered, terrible customer servce, etc. This made me nervous and well I had a reason to be.

They show up outside of the time window I was given, which meant I had to leave work early. I told them to call me 30 minutes prior to showing up and they did call, but didnt show up until about an hour and 1/2 later. They handled the furniture with no care at all and slammed my coffee table down on my floor. They caused damage to my walls and door from bringing in the sofa. So it gets worse.

The sofa is not what I ordered at all! It's a big, ugly, RED microfiber sofa. I ordered a brown leather sofa. I tell them to take the sofa away, but they refuse. As they unpack my coffee table to put it together, they realize it's defective. They tell me I have to keep the sofa for an exchange, because I will not be refunded and if I dont do the exchange I will have to wait 48 hours to even process my next delivery. They hurry out and leave a huge mess in my leaving room of boxes, pieces of foam, and bolts they forgot to pack back in the box (a sure sign someone else will be receiving a defective order). The guy turns to me and smiles saying "You can vacuum now".

I call customer service and they tell me they can not get an exchange out until January 30th. Today is December 22nd. I call the store and of course my sales lady is not working. I tell the manager I want a refund, but she works every other loop to not allow a refund. She manages to get me a delivery date of December 30th. She also tells me they pull the wrong furniture from the warehouse all the time and that they are a big company so these things happen.

I guess I'll be waiting for my new delivery, probably of the wrong furniture again. In the meantime, I'll be vacuuming and sitting on my big, ugly, red couch.

Just run a google search on Rooms to Go Delivery. There are tons of stories like mine, some worse! I will never shop there again!

I did not purchase the leather protection (thank God) although the sales lady did push for it. My biggest mistake here is not doing the research before purchasing the furniture. I always search the web before a purchase, but of course did not before this one. I just hope to prevent people from making the same mistake.

If you are smart, you already understand what you have been put through, and realize how the mgr did "everything" to save the sale. Well, you did NOT get what you paid for and if you're not prepared to deal with a major run-around, DEMAND they come pick up what they dropped off and give you a full refund. If you recieve any resistance, simply tell the manager you will be contacting their corporate headquarters and letting them know of your problem with the furniture and the problem with the mgr! I'm also wondering if you purchased the "leather protection"? If you did, did you get the warranty paper with that?
