SCI Synergy Management False advertising, offers management positions with own ofiice staff, in truth its a big pyramid scam San Jose California
I responded to an ad on Career Builder for an Admin. position. Only a phone number was provided. I called and asked if position was still open, and was immediately granted an interview the same day. The only information she asked was for my phone number and if I had a vehicle to transport myself. I arrived at my 2:30 interview with 4 other people.
A manager of the company came out and said that he could not possibly interview all of us individually for the response to his ad had been unbelievable. Yeah right!! So he took us all in one room, talked so fast you could not understand what kind of business they were actually running. Asked none of us for any references or resumes, said that no experiece was necessary and that they would train us from the bottom up and would become managers and start at a minimum of 30K yrly. Interview lasted 3 minutes and told us that if they were interested they would call us that night for a second interview.
Got the call, as I am sure all the other suckers did and arrived the next day at my interview. Upon arrival I was told to sign in and immediately ushered into a dark room with chairs lined up with other people and was told to take a seat an proceeded to watch a movie, Dodgeball. Why? Don't know. Red Flags Going Off Everywhere!! I decide to stay because I had a feeling this was a scam and wanted to find out more.
When I returned home I could not wait to search Larry Hahn and much to my surprize found numerous reports on the same scam in Florida, Texas, New Jersey, all over the states.
I did not stick around long enough to be offered this fabulous managerial position. The Manager knew I was totally not buying his ridiculous sales pitch and asked me if I wanted to leave. I responded that I would love to, with pleasure, and many followed. Unfortunately the others remaining were young and impressionable and probably needed work badly. I hope they went home and did their homework if they indeed signed on and get the hell out of there.
After reading all the scams they pulled one wonders how one scam artist can continually rip off innocent people from one city to another all across the country and continue to get away with it. They are still alive and well on this date December 7, 2006 and are set up in San Jose, CA.
