I completed mystery shops for this compnay.  However when it comes time for my pay they refuse, coming up with various excuses not to pay out.  It is a big SCAM you do hard work for them going out early or late at night and the shop fees are so low.  They lie and make up bogus excuses just so they won't have to deal with you or pay you.  It's as if they want you to give up and you're bothering them when you contact them.  They will only correspond with you via email so that's a big read flag right there!  You have hard working people such as myself running around doing these time consuming, detailed shops then can't get compensated for them.  They need to be shut down permanently because for the amount of work they expect from these "mystery shops" and they won't pay you.  They aren't a legit and they are really taking advantage of people that need work.  I'm certain I am not the only one, maybe just the one brave enough to fill this complaint about them. !!!!!!!!!!BE AWARE!!!!!!

I worked here a long time ago. My uncle is a mystery shopper and has waited four months to be paid to date.

My paycheques were always late. My house was foreclosed on because I only received one pay a month when I was promised to be paid twice a month. The owner hired stupid students to do payroll and there was a time where I didn't get paid at all for a month. My family now lives in a small one bedroom apartment and we have yet to recover.

There is a high turnover rate. I saw many folks come and go. Some made complaints with Ministry of Labour and were fired soon after. There were mystery shoppers who got paid months late too and the help desk didn't care.

The attitude from most of the staff is disgusting. My uncle has emailed them over 10 times about not getting his pay and they avoid his emails and calls. He was told that he would get paid eventually and that he shouldn't make a fuss about having to wait this long.

They say they pay after the month when you did shops but they don't always hold up their agreement. When shoppers emailed about not being paid, I was told to ignore it or be fired

This company could have been a great place to work for and for others to shop for if they had their act straight. My uncle is owed over $600 and will be filing a lawsuit soon.

please please do not ever work for service metrics/ forum research! i urge you not to. They are scammers and will find a way/excuse not to pay you for work you have done. They do not try to help you but instead use a complication to their advantage to refuse a payment you were entitled to receive. Therefore, causing all your hard work to go down a drain. Waste of your time and money. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY . If i had the option to give them less than a poor rating i would.

They make last minute changes with what is required and then when there is an inconvenience for you or complication because of the sudden change they put into action, they immediately refuse to pay you when there are existing options to help both parties

Service Metrics Inc is one of the largest Mystery Shopping companies in Canada.  We have been around since 2002 and continue to thrive year after year.  Our companies success is largely due to the indispensable mystery shoppers we have in our database. 8000 strong.

Understand that with such a large base of shoppers and thousands of shops being conducted monthly there are bound to be payment issues.  Service Metrics, as a company, strives to resolve all payment issues in a timely fashion.  If for any reason an SMI shopper feels they were not provided due compensation they should contact me directly.

As long as a contract has been fulfilled, I (SMI) will ensure all shoppers receive what is due.  It is how Service Metrics has always operated and will continue to operate in this manner.  Once again I ask that whoever feels wronged by SMI to please get in touch with me so we can resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
