Shoreline Vacation Rentals/Gregory E. Menken is a low class rip off agency preying upon new homeowners in the area that he can make them lots of money by turning their home into a vacation rental. First he wants you far away so he can rent your home to people without you knowing and he can pocket all the money without paying you anything. He does not screen the people renting and will place anyone in your home as long as they have the money. He claims up front that he will protect your property but he won't.

If the people he placed in your home decide to get drunk and tear up a new hot tub he will not help you, but instead help the slobs that did the damage because he wants their money next year. I have 95 pages of documentation on this man and everyone in this small vacation area that know him knows his reputation. He owes us for two vacations and damages to our property. Then he sent us a 1099 form as though we had been paid.

Last year he had the Better Business Bureau logo on his web site and he wasn't a member and I was the one that informed the BBB. So they made him remove it. Now he has the logo of the Mendocino County Chamber of Commerce up and I called and found out he isn't a member there or wasn't May 28th, 2009. The CEO was going to call him about taking it down.

So if it is still up it is because he decided to pay up. He also has a CALVRMA logo on the web site that stands for California Vacation Rental Managers Association. The only CALVRMA that exist is a non profit for churches organization and the according to the Secretary of States office California Vacation Rental Managers association never existed. So ask yourself do you want to deal with a guy who has no scruples in misrepresenting himself and his company through false advertising? You will be sorry you did.

At the time of this report being written (2009) there where 65-70 properties under our management. This report has just been brought to our attention for the first time in nearly 10 years.

While our company no longer engages in long- or short term rentals, we have been successfully serving our community's Real Estate needs on the coast for almost 30 years with hundreds of happy clients. Please feel free to stop in or give us a call, we would be happy to answer any questions.
