On JAn. 5th. I went to signals wireless to purchase new phone and start a new service. Because I was unable to afford the deposit. So My boyfriend and I inquired about a few other services and the deposits were still pretty steep. So we decided to stay with the same company and buy new phones. The sales guy (Patrick) Showed us the phones they had for our current company and told us about the discounts on each phone.

Than Patrick said That we could go check at one ths stores our company has and maybe they would have a special rate for long standing customers, but if they didn't give us a special rate we wouldn't be able to get the phone we were looking at for $50.00 after the rebate they would give us. When We got home with the phones we did not find any rebate information.

So I called signals and asked were to find the rebate information, I was told they must have forgotten, and I could come in with my reciept and they would give me the rebate papers. I went in on 1/13/04, I was told I couldn't get a rebate. Because I was already a customer of the company and that I bought the phones outright. I argueed with Patrick for a few minutes, with him telling me that no one there would ever tell anyone what he himself told me.

So I asked to speak to a manager, he said that they were all managers and there was no one above them. I asked again so, their is no one above you that I can speak to. Patrick said no. When my boyfriend Robert called He argueed with Patrick as well, than Robert asked to speak to someone above Patrick. So Patrick Took all of Rob's information and passed it on to his boss Keith. However Keith called me. Because I called Patrick back and made him take my information and called him on lying to me of course he lied agian. So Keith called me back we dicussed returning the phones and getting a return on my money.

Well, becaused we already are using the phones we can't get our money back because thay wouldn't be able to sell the phones. So here I am a single mom with two children and on a very tight budget and out $389.14. And these guys don't about making things right because they have my money and they believe that I can't do anything about it. I willing to do what ever it takes to either get my $389.14 back and give up the phone or get $260.00 which is the amount of the rebate.

use your 389.14 welfare check to support and feed your kids, dont buy your boyfriend cellphones (tell him to get a job at McDonalds and buy his own) get a life and a education and pay $30 a month for a home phone.there, you saved $350.00 which you could use for what is actually important-your kids. See how easy that was?

To Whom It May Concern, they did not qualify for the rebates

This is a rebutal in regards to the posting placed by Tara in Phoenix regarding our company, Signals. Tara states that she went to our location "to purchase (a) new phone and start a new service." Due to deposit restraints, Tara decided to stay with her current service. It is at this point that I believe the confusion may have started. We carry five different service providers, many of which offer rebates with a new service contract. However, since Tara and her boyfriend were existing customers of the carrier that they purchased the phones for, they did not qualify for the new customer rebate. Tara mentions that they were not given any rebate information. This is because they did not qualify for the rebates. Additionally, the receipt was marked as an outright purchase with a "no returns" addendum because she was already an existing customer. When Tara called to inquire about not having the rebate forms, she did not inform the sales person that she was an existing customer, and in an attempt to be helpful our sales person told her to come in and pick up a rebate form. I called and spoke with our sales person regarding this situation and then called Tara. She told me the information listed in her complaint. I again spoke with our sales person, who is experienced and knowledgable on all our products. I could not find any evidence that the rebate was misrepresented. I again contacted Tara and informed her that due to the heavy usage already on the phone, we would not be able to return them. We apologize for the misunderstanding but feel that we have presented our products in an honest manor. Signals has been in business for 10 years and has established a great reputation for customer service which makes us stand out among all the other wireless dealers in the Phoenix market.
