Silver Hill Circulation RIP OFF. MAGAZINE NEVER DELIVERED! Silverville Georgia
Well I was at my boyfriends house in Delaware, OH when a young lady came to my door and gave me a sad story about not having a car, trying to go to school and was just trying to make some money working hard. I gave in to the sob story but was ok with it because I bought my younger sister a $55 magazine subscription to Seventeen through this company, SHCI.
This happened in late May of 06, however as of November 27, 2006, my sister has yet to received this magazine. Through research through my bank they were able to give me the full name of the acronym SHCI, Silver Hill Circulation Inc (I had lost the receipt). When googling just SHCI, you will never find anything about a magazine subscription company. However searching for the full name produced another report of a customer failing to receive their magazines.
Was mulling this over and discussing how horrible it is to be ripped off and feel taken advantage of and thought that these poor kids that come to the door to sell us things, probably have no idea that we never receive our magazines. They are told they will get a trip to Mexico, school or room and board and the chance to travel.. and they may be lied to as well. However, it could be the opposite. They could be in on the scam, in that case, poor kids, they need help.
