I spent $170.00 at WALMART on a Sirius Satelite Radio System on the pretense of their ads and literature stating that there are absolutely no commercials. At least 30% of the air time contains commercials from money making schemes to male enhancement drugs. For almost 48 hours, I could not even receive a signal. I paid approx. $144.00 for 1 year in advance. After learning that they had blantantly lied about the commercial-free service, I called to cancel my service and obtain my refund (that they also guarantee if you're not 100% satisfied). They tried to coax me in to staying with them as a customer with two free months of service, of which I declined. The customer service rep said a check would be mailed to me for $104.00 for the months of service I didn't use. Several months passed with no check. I called back, and was then told that, yes, in fact, it did show that I had canceled my membership, and that I was due a check for $22.00. $22.00!!! I asked why it was now only $22.00 and not the $104.00 I was promised. I was then informed that there is a cancellation fee of $75.00 if you cancel within the first year service. I told the csr that I was never informed of such conditions and terms. She said it stated there is a three-day window to cancel w/o the charges in the welcome pack that I received in the mail almost A MONTH LATER!!! After much arguing, I was told that I would only receive a check for $22.00. I still have not received that check, and it has been over four months now. Several times I have called back to inquire as to where my check is. EACH time I have been put on hold for AT LEAST 15 minutes, then I am suddenly (and mysteriously) cut off. If anyone subscribes to Sirius, they are making a huge mistake, as I did. In my case, it cost me over $300.00, and to this day, I STILL haven't received my check. SIRIUS SATELITE RADIO IS BASED ON LIES AND THEFT.

All channels commercial free?

I've never seen them advertise that. Both them and their future merger partner XM both advertise 100% commercial free music stations, but not all of their channels. If you have a copy of their ad that says they are 100% commercial free (on all channels) I can understand your grief. But otherwise, did you sign up over the phone or online? If it was online I'll bet the cancellation policy. I know the cancellation fee is clearly stated at their website under terms and conditions.
