I signed up for SMC on 11/14/2008, initially seeking information, yet I was given THE HARD SELL, right then I should of listened to my inner voice, and hung up the phone...yet, I thought if a familiar and relatively trusted TV celebrity recommended SMC, the company had to have potentional, BOY WAS I MISLEAD!!!
I did not receive the SMC starter kit until 11/20/2008 - PLUS - Information referred to, was not even included. Yesterday, 11/24/2008, I was notified that the website had been set up. Again, more hackles raised on my back. Today's date is 11/25/2008.
During the interim of waiting for the SMC business kit to arrive, I had plenty of time to investigate and read all of the scam and ripoff maneuvers online, regarding SMC. I had also contacted the SMC website personnel to question the "supposed" free website information. In my investigations I have found the site to be utterly useless, UNLESS I spent an absorbinate amount to PURCHASE "gift cards"!! What a bunch of hooey!!!
I telephoned on Saturday, 11/22/2008, and found that though telephone business contact hours had been purported to include Saturday as a business day, yet it was not true, I couldn't speak with anyone who could or would tell me anything about the business start-up, I was merely given other telephone numbers and other days to call. Not exactly, what I was lead to believe, AGAIN MISLEAD...
There is false advertising in the SMC "START YOUR OWN BUSINESS FOR $39.95". IT IS NOT TRUE, HIDDEN COSTS AT EVERY ANGLE, IS WHAT I FOUND.
First of all, SMC's affiliated ecommerce website carrier erroneously set up a website, whereby they DID NOT have my PayPal account information (thus I wouldn't be able to receive any monetary gain, even if I had wanted to). Exactly, how can SMC's affiliated ecommerce website carrier have the gall and adacity to set up a website as a "SUPPOSED SALE VENUE" when no money from sales can be accepted? Even to the most simple minded, their nefarious business practices are explicitly clear and exceptionally bold.
Secondly, I hadn't even spoken to my supposed, "COACH". Nor, had I set up an interview session, with this difficult to locate, Coach. I do believe that that was to be the first step, before any other SMC business products would be instituted, initialized...STARTED!!!
I am sick and tired of SMC's nefarious business practices. I have cancelled my SMC membership, which is XXXXXXXX. I hereby cancelled SMC's supposed, "FREE WEBSITE", as well. I have also cancelled my credit card, as well as having closed my checking account. Especially after my online reading about all the charges that SMC has taken from other people that fell for the same SMC false advertising as I did. I have lost the $15 I paid for the initial shipment, however that is the last penny SMC will be receiving from me!!!
In closing, I give my oath, that I will post on every search engine, that I can find, all about SMC's NEFARIOUS BUSINESS PRACTICES, and what my personal investigation and experiences have been!!! Those that have open eyes will see, and those that have an open ear will hear, and let me tell you, THEY WILL LISTEN!!!
