I can not believe this company! They tried to offer me 2 free throw pillows for their mess up as well.
As I look further and further into Sofa U Love I am starting to find out more and more about this company. They are VERY dishonest and rip off a lot of people. Very, Very, very sad. I have a feeling that a big law suit is headed their way.
They also have a very bad reputation on customer service.
They ruined my furniture!!!

This company is ridiculously unethical and I demand that you quit harassing me. The type of insert I (and you) agreed upon is in the original contract - read it. It was not delivered to me this way and in addition, you refused to correct the situation until legal representation was brought into the situation and our credit card company. Then and only then did you offer to refund my money in full if we returned your incorrect cushions (which we had always intended to pay for but at a discount which is what Vincent promised so you went back on your company's word) but you would not return my old cushions which would have left me with nothing to sit on. You threw away my old cushions and then backed me into a corner. Your company promised me a discount due to the incorrect cushions and then tried to bully and harass me into removing an honest and documented actual account review because you claim we are the only ones who have had issues with your company. Look up on the internet - there are several poor reviews of your company - do you harass them too? Do you call them at home and at work and fax over and over offering discounts on your incorrect merchandise as long as I remove honest and factual reviews of your company? Then you go and illegally charge my credit card for an unauthorized amount and forged signatures?
You did not agree to an offer made by an attorney in December of 2010 until this week (and by then the offer had expired as it had been 4 months) when you found out American Express ruled in my favor and then you continuted to harass me and offered me (you BEGGED me) to take $200 as a paid in full discount to remove this posting and the one on Yelp which I may just put back up now).
You are a very bad representative of your company - does your owner know that you lie and cheat and steal from people? Shame on you and shame on them for keeping you employed as a customer service representative.

Respectfully, its not right what you are doing, making up stories. What kind of pillow was promised to you? What did you receive that was wrong? Why wont you accept a full refund if you received incorrect merchandise?
You have repeatedly stated that we threw away your old inserts. You threw them away because they no longer were in usable condition. If you did not buy new insets from us, to be able to continue using your furniture, you would have had to purchase them from someone else. We have offered a full refund, so you would be free to make the same purchase with another company.
No one is forcing you to keep merchandise you dont want. You hired an attorney asking for a $205.79 discount on a $548.75 purchase. To make you a satisfied customer, we agreed and the result is that you are still upset, making up stories that we are harassing you? Miss Dwyer, with all due respect, what you are doing is not right.

I didn't receive what I was promised and what I was told they could produce. I was told and they wrote a contract stating that I would receive a certain type of pillow insert and that is not what was delivered on half of my order - had they been honest up front and told me that what they contracted was misrepresented and they had made a mistake I would have understood, but instead they mis-measured the pillows, misplaced my original cushion inserts, misrepresented themselves and then spent several months ignoring me since they had my money - paid in full. Had they given me my old inserts back (which they threw away) or had they replaced them with what I had ordered and what they promised they could provide this would not have gone this far.
All I wanted was what I paid for and they refused. Then all I wanted was a discount that was promised and they went back on their word. Then all I wanted to was to be left alone and they attempted to charge my credit card again without my authorization for an unauthorized amount.
I no longer wish to receive harassing and intimidating calls or letters from this company and want them to stop. I just want them to go away and stop harassing me. Please make them stop.

I want to preface our response by stating that we make our products locally, at our factory in Burbank, CA, using the highest quality materials in the industry. We are proud of our distinguished reputation, having been in business since 1971 and having earned a coveted A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
We take pride in dealing with each customer personally. To clarify many false accusations, I want to briefly explain the steps we have taken regarding this order:
Jennine came into our showroom to place an order for 4 new inserts for her sofa (2 for her cushions, 2 for her pillows). She came into our store because her old inserts were no longer in usable condition. She placed an order for 4 new inserts, totaling $548.75.
Jennine had questions about the inserts. We showed Jennine that the inserts are the correct sizes and explained that they are made of the same down-feather contents featured on our showroom floor, and offered her a full refund if she wanted to return them.
Instead of accepting the refund, Jennine demanded that she keep them at a discount. We offered her (2) free throw pillows and a voucher for $300.00 store credit. Instead of accepting, Jennine responded by hiring an attorney, who asked for a discount of $205.79.
We agreed to the discount but remain puzzled why anyone would want to keep inserts that supposedly do not fit, made by a company that supposedly did not treat her well. What really hurts is after agreeing to her request for a $205.79 discount, the customer continues to spew slander throughout the internet.

So after months (almost 7 to be exact) we may have finally come to an arrangement with Sofa U Love. They admitted they didn't produce the product they "sold me" and I originally paid in full for but that to produce the product as ordered (and as sold to me) would be more money for them. They asked if I would I agree to keep the product delivered to me "as is" at a reduced rate. I agreed just to eliminate this entire hassle.
Note that this agreement took months and it also took American Express stepping in and challenging the charge with Sofa U Love which was a huge help (I'm so glad I paid with American Express) because they attempted to rectify the situation with Sofa U Love (unfortuantley to no avail). I recently received a call from Sofa U Love begging me to reconsider their offer of a reduced rate and I agreed based on the fact that I had always intended to pay them for the properly produced product (half of my order), however, with attorney's fees, the time I have put into this entire situation, etc. it has become even more expensive and entirely too draining so I just want this situation settled.
That being said, I have reluctantly agreed to an even further discounted rate (suggested by Sofa U Love) and in exchange (here's the catch), I agreed (under much pressure) to remove another review I had with another website and to attempt to remove this review or at least update it, which as you can see is being accomplished (again, under much pressure and harassment).
While Sofa U Love has at last made an effort (this has yet to be closed however so no deal is a done deal) to rectify this situation, I personally will never shop there again (and I'm sure they are appreciative of this as well). The experience I had was horrifying, has left me in tears more than once and has left me completely scarred with regards to furniture shopping. I may never buy another piece of furniture again. Beanbags are looking pretty good right about now.

I have been forced to remove my review from Sofa U Love as they claim my accurate incident report and review caused them to lose business. If you want a review, you will need to go to other sources who also have accurate reviews.
