Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This company (SOLA, S.O.L.A. of Canyon Lake, S.O.L.A. of Austin Texas, etc.) claims to help inventors by producing a list of manufacturers and a sales introduction letter with artwork. Then, if a manufacturer is interested in producing your product SOLA claims to be able to represent the inventor in the negotiation of a license agreement.

The list of manufacturers is supposedly generated by an affiliate company called Federated List Service. Federated then supposedly sends the list to SOLA. SOLA supposedly combines the information in the list with the sales letter. These letters are then supposed to be sent to the inventor and mailed out to the manufacturers.

What actually happened to me has been very different from what is claimed. SOLA claims that they don't collect any up front fees. But they want the customer to send money, (a check) made out to a List Service, directly to SOLA. I now have credible information that the money actually goes directly to Joe Geraci at SOLA.

The process of generating the list of manufacturers is supposed to take approximately 80 days. If the list and introduction letter are not received by 85 days a refund of my fees was to be sent to me, according to my contract. I have been waiting almost a year now and no list has been supplied.

I have been told by Joe Geraci (SOLA president) and Edward Wagner that the list has been generated but I have not seen any evidence of that fact. All I get is a phone call once every several months with some excuse as to why my list hasn't been sent to me yet. I have to admit that the excuses they use are quite novel at times. But the bottom line is that over a year has gone by and I have received nothing for my money.

I sent a certified letter to SOLA asking for a refund of my money, but the letter was returned unclaimed.

If this complaint generates any positive response I will be happy to update my comments when my fees have been returned and deposited to my account.

I found your report interesting. I was searching the internet for the purpose of sharing POSITIVE information on the success of my patent and the marketing. I typed in the appropriate words and eventually ended up with your complaint. I learned that there are no places to say positive things about companies when one has an exceptional experience. I noticed that you took a little creative liberty with the facts as I know them first hand. So I may as well respond here. SOLA has been the only firm that has been right on target. I have tried them all. No attorney, invention help site or professional advice has come close to that I found at SOLA. As for the claim you have that Mr. Geraci some how benefits from your Federated list purchase? you are full of Ripp-Off-itis. I know for a fact that Mr. Geraci and SOLA in NO WAY BENEFIT. I also recall that SOLA donates what you claim in your title you paid for. As for you speculation no doubt you are more able and your research deeper than my attorney and the hundreds of professionals who have conducted research on SOLA before you. I did a search on the BBB, IBM, my favorite Investment firms and I found dozens of claims from irate people that don't even have the common business sense to send the company a letter or ask a business attorney for help. So fabricate what you wish about any firm you desire. My experience with SOLA and the experience of many others has been utterly, positively wonderful. I don't doubt that you may have a problem, but then again all inventors who spent good hard earned money with their patent attorneys and cant figure out why their product has'nt been an automatic home run do plenty of finger pointing.
