Splashspot.com Splashspot Scam Game Site Charges Even When You Cancel !! Fraudulent Charges To Credit Card , Fake Game Winners Corona California
An online friend from another game site told me about this site , she said she had just signed up and already won $3 .
So i said sounds good and went to sign up , i checked it out for free for a few minutes , then decided to sign up for gold , thru their " 5 Day Free Trial" .
I played the games and entered the raffles .. and i WON !
I won 2 raffles at the same time for a total of $9 !
How that works is this , you play games and earn "spoints" , and thru the "spoint store " you can enter drawings .
With the "splashcash" you win , you can buy items in the "splash cash mall" .
Which most items are junk and overpriced , but i figured it was a nice way to earn prizes for playing games ( which i do on several other legitimate sites) .
So i referred several of my friends , this was looking like a great site .
I played lots , and i noticed my friends i referred all won too !
But as many times as i entered the raffles , i never won again and neither did they , and thats when it hit me , only the new people win , its a SCAM !
Now during the time of my membership which began on May 1st 2008 , i had some technical issues with the bingo game and reported them , i got a reply within hours , thats great .
At this time i also noticed they had billed my card the day after i signed up for the free 5 day trial ..that upset me .
After i figured out it was a scam , i once again contacted them ( 3 am - May 5th)
and Told them to cancel my account . The next day i checked my bank account and the charges were gone , so i thought all was well .
Today i check my account and they have Charged me AGAIN , for an account i cancelled within the 5 day free trial !
This site is a scam , whether or not i get my $8 back isnt the point , i want to make sure others see how this site operates and doesnt fall for this clever scam as i did , and if i save even one person from lining these thiefs pockets , then im satisfied .
Oh and i did initiate a fraudulent charge complaint with my bank , complete with printouts of all support tickets.
