Spring City Car Care ripoffs selling parts & services that are not needed at elevated prices Spring Texas
I went to work for Scotty at Spring City under the impression that he ran an honest auto repair shop. It only took about a week to find out differently.
On about the fifth day Scotty sold a lady a timming belt on a Honda with nothing else wrong but a bad rotor. That cost the lady around $350 more than what she needed to spend.
The next week he sold another lady fuel injectors in a 2002 Caravan with only 20K miles on it after I had checked it out and told him that the only problem was a plug wire had came off. That cost her over $850 for a loose plug wire.
I know of these two for sure because I was made to do the work and feel bad for these people. I saw other techs do work that I am sure that was not needed. There labor rate is around $97 while the normal rate in the area is around $70.
They also tried to sell my sister's father in-law a $800 stearing gear box when all it needed was a $25 hose.
I found another job the third week because I can not work for someone that does buisness that way. I am posting this to help inform consumers to be wary of this shop. It is not being run honestly.

We are fair and honest people and like to think the best of people and believe that everyone deserves a second chance. Shame on us for once again believing in the goodness of people. Walter was hired just out of jail and claimed that he was an ASE Certified Technician. He was never able to produce the proper certifications, was repeatedly late to work and had a poor attitude. He worked at our business for a total of two weeks. In those two weeks, multiple vehicles that he had worked on came back into the shop for rechecks. One vehicle that Walter was paid to install cam and crank sensors on came back for leaking oil from the timing cover. Another technician had to tear down the vehicle and found out that the original parts were still on the vehicle and they had never been changed. So who is the dishonest one? As for his claims that our labor rate is not "normal" rate in the area Walter is sadly mistakened. The dealer rates are right around $100. Competitors are surveyed frequently to make sure we remain competitive. Walter needs to get his facts accurate before opening his mouth. Once a con always a con
