This is a warning to any and all companies that may be using square up or considering using them for their credit card processing.  We have recenty had a transaction in the amount of $12,000.  Square processed the transaction, the customer personally signed for the merchandise and picked up the goods.  The customer is completely satisfied with their purchase and there are no disputes.  Square has unilaterally decided to hold the funds. They cannot give an acceptable reason for doing so and their only statement is to refund the customer their money.

 I have now explained to 5 different representatives  both via email and on the phone that the customer is satisfied and does not want a refund, but square does not seem to care, they just state that they will continue to hold onto our money.....isn't that stealing ?!?

 I have asked to speak to a supervisor or their legal department but they continue to say no, they will not forward on my request.  I am dumbfounded as to how and why a company that processes credit card transactions would act in this manner. In over 30 years in business I have never heard of anything like this.  I am seriously considering a class action suit against square and would like to hear from any other business owners that may be experiencing this same treatment from square.
