Starbiz Talent Wilhemina ripoff Scottsdale Arizona
I was only 18 and had great talent for acting. I had already been in days of our lives as an extra and had theater training as well. When I went to starbiz, they convinced everyone that they were whilamina, which we all know that whilamina is the number 2 biggest agency in the U.S. They had pictures of whilamina new york all over the walls too. I went in front of a camra and performed a commerical script.
They called me the next day and told me I had real talent and they wanted to work with me. They sat down and told me they would give me some training, for only $1,000.00!! I didnt have the money, so I had to borrow it from a friend who wanted to see me fulfill my dream, when she, didnt really have the money to give me since she was going through a horrible divorce.
So I gave it to them thinking that it was going to be worth it, because "they were whilamina." They took my pictures in a room the size of a box, with a bright blue background. The photographer was very unperfessional, and the pictures turned out horrible.(I had better pictures taken at J.C. penney!!) I had to call them for 2 months just to get my picture on their website (which they promised they would do right away.) They told me that I would have a job right away, Its been 9 months! I havent heard from them or any agents.
All they want is your money, they promise to take your pictures and put it online so you can get called, but you never do! I will never be able to pay back my friend for the 1,000.00 they stole from me!!! I went to an agent and told her about this company and she told me that they have changed their name quite a few times and they were on dateline for fraud!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!
