The poster claims the divorce was "uncontested". The only thing uncontested was that they hated each other. Otherwise, nothing would satisfy the client except life time support at a standard of living the client never attained.
Every issue was contentious and required a ruling from the court. The client went before the court claiming to be too ill to work. The judge saw her as someone who could and should be working and sent her off...
Parenthetically, she appeared to be off necessary medication and had uncontrollable mood swings. I did me best for her. It is interesting, she never complained about my representation until the case was over.
