I stayed at this resort in February lured by an ad on Facebook, which stated one could receive a complimentary visit to this timeshare.  Typical timeshare bait.  However, because, and only because I am a single parent, I was required to pay $295.  David Renzi refuses to acknowledge this and went so far as to claim on YELP that, "the resort does not offer complementary (sic) rooms."

Per the FHA and HUD, timeshare are subject to Housing Discrimination.  Tahiti Village may not discriminate based on my age (I am over 40), nor the fact that I am a single parent.  I make much more than necessary to qualify for the "complimentary trip" ONLY AFFORDED TO COUPLES.  Plain and simple, this is housing discrimination.  All I requested was a refund of $295.  Rather, Tahiti Village is attempting and has removed negative reports on YELP and any other site where they might get a bad review.  If you treat your guests right, you wouldn't get a negative review.

So here are my tips and suggestions.  First of all, a timeshare is a complete waste of money.  You could spend over $500 a year in maintenance for one week at this resort which is two miles away from the casinos, but just feet away from the airport.  Don't waste your money.

If you are considering or pressured into buying here, first look at this website, which lists timeshares here for pennies on the dollar (the owners are trying to get rid of these timeshares).  Timeshares are a lifelong commitment which cannot increase in value.  Ask a realtor or lawyer.  Here is that website:

Secondly, if you are a single parent and refused a "complimentary stay," report it to HUD at:

http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/topics/housing_discrimination

Finally, read about the complaints about this timeshare.  The resort has a team of five individuals whose jobs are to monitor and remove negative social media reports.  They can be found here:

Lastly, I notified Mr. David Renzi of my complaint, but rather than ameliorate the issue, he chose to block me and to remove Yelp review and any others (there will be many, many more.)  My goal is to inform the public of the discriminatory practices Tahiti Village employs against single parents and their misleading ads and false statements on YELP.  SEE photos.
